Sporty acquires FSC Sarpsborg

Sporty has completed the acquisition of the fitness center FSC Sarpsborg in Iseveien, which was previously a franchise within the Sporty Group.
With this acquisition, FSC Sarpsborg becomes a fully owned subsidiary of the Sporty Group, further strengthening the chain’s presence in the Østfold region. In total, Sporty now operates eight fitness centers in the county.
“We already know the talented team at FSC Sarpsborg well through our years of franchise collaboration. We see a growing market and are excited to become an even more visible player in the local community,” says Tor Fredrik Neumann-Berg, CFO at Sporty.
The center will now be more closely integrated into Sporty’s nationwide network. This means that members will soon have access to a wider range of training facilities and digital health services.
“Our goal is to preserve the strong community and great offering FSC Sarpsborg has built over time, while adding new resources and opportunities through the Sporty system. Ultimately, we want members to experience even more training variety and enjoyment going forward,” says Neumann-Berg.
The acquisition of FSC Sarpsborg marks Sporty’s third acquisition in March, as part of the chain’s ongoing strategy to offer a broad range of training options to people of all ages.
